Virtual Chess Tournament (VCT) - Thug Chess

Neha blundered her queen as early as move 8 after which Abhishek dominated the entire match up until the point when there was a sudden checkmate by black as highlighted below (kudos to her presence of mind despite being so down on material): Match # 14:      Matcho (hopelessindian)  V Sandy (buhu_s) Winner:             Sandy This was the repeat of VCT-2 semi-final and despite much improvement, Matcho could not change the result. He opened with his favorite London system with white pieces. They traded queens quickly which resulted in rook and knight endgame. Sandy’s pieces were active and he converted into a win. By Bikash Sherpa Hello Guys Welcome to VCT3: Thug Chess Round by Round report.  Brief Introduction : After successful completion of VCT 2: Thug Chess, where Sandy aka buhu_s was the champion (hence booked his name in VCT Hall of Fame), our hardworking committee members, which mainly comprise of Jongs, Matcho and Avik (I chipped in with few ideas), decided to take the tournament to new heights and include 8 more players totaling 24 players. I personally liked what they have done with the concept of 'Fighters' and the prizes allotted for them. VCT 3 – Rules and Regulations All games to be played in the tournament will be 15| 10 Rapid games on chess.com. White or Black will be determined by chess.com automatically at the start of every match.  Please join VCT - Thug Chess Club  on chess.com. It is not mandatory, but we may come up with some initiatives in the future. Seeding of players will be done as a part of the registration process. Ratings of the players in the below mentioned time period will be considered for seeding. –  Registration date and time - 03/07/2020      20:00 – 21:00 There will be 4 Leagues played and the qualified players will play knockout matches to determine the Champion.
